We live in a highly connected world. In the age of AI and IoT, centralisation is at the heart of all digital transformation strategies. People want to collaborate wherever they are, with whomever they choose. When considering that by 2022, 72% of workers will be remote in some way or another, it shows that if you’re not prepared, your business will fall behind the curve. The time is now to really embrace digital transformation and enable more organisations to be more productive from anywhere in the world on any device.

When you look more closely at what exactly people want centralising in their business, you need to take into account two things; processes, and people. Business processes are what makes a business tick, the very foundation and epicentre of what your people expertly craft and nurture to boost revenues, improve efficiencies and expand into new territories.

If you’re going to bring everything together, you need to bring your employees closer to the epicentre of it all – and if your end-users already have a CRM tool in place, they’re only halfway there. While your team may be connected on a process level, there’s still the question of how they can collaborate innovatively around growing those processes.

Dynamics 365 integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams to provide the collaboration piece of the puzzle to an always-on workforce. Microsoft Teams is the place that a lot of organisations are managing all of their conversations and files in one team workspace - being able to create and edit documents all within Teams, whilst on a call (or not on a call) with multiple people, from all over the world, really does prove useful in an increasingly global world.

And if you can do this with documents, then why not for your CRM? Why shouldn’t you be able to work collaboratively through Microsoft Teams in order to work together on opportunities and pipeline? Well the answer is that you can, with Dynamics 365. With the existing No.1 platform for business communication, Skype for Business, being completely replaced by Microsoft Teams soon, you can only imagine the endless capabilities and opportunities that lie ahead.

How do the two integrate?

You can easily add Dynamics 365 into a Microsoft Teams channel through creating a ‘tab’. Here you can access the Common Data Service directly from teams, collaborating with colleagues on a single opportunity, or at a bigger scale on multiple records, all from within Microsoft Teams. You can access records directly from Dynamics 365 in Microsoft Teams, so if you’re on a call with a colleague and working on an opportunity together (potentially to work on a pitch deck together) you can do all this in Teams, while on a call, and save it into Dynamics 365 attached to the opportunity, all from within Teams.

It really does enable users to be even more productive from anywhere using any device.

Where can you see maximum sales productivity?

Imagine your sales team all having their own assistant to help them be more productive and convert more opportunities. With the Microsoft Teams and Dynamics 365 integration capabilities, that’s exactly what you can do for your sales team.

Using the Dynamics 365 Assistance Application for Teams, sales teams are now able to have their own assistant. What can this assistant do? Help sales teams prepare for the day with key information and insights, prepare for meetings enabling a better rapport right from the start the assistant will give sellers proactive suggestions as to what the best next steps should be in order to progress an opportunity the right way. Your new assistant will even capture meeting notes ensuring all next steps are inputted into Dynamics 365, ensuring your sales team can focus on the right things during a meeting and not just making notes.

To add to the great pool of benefits this integration brings (and a personal favourite of mine): you can add business cards straight into contacts in Dynamics 365 using your phones camera, incredible assistant to say the least.
