What is Cloud Summit from Ingram Micro?

Dedicated to commercializing technology, Cloud Summit is a focused, three-day event where you can learn what’s new, what’s trending and what’s on the horizon. Packed with unlimited networking opportunities, you’ll learn how to leverage partner solutions, collaborate in ways you never imagined, and use cloud to achieve new levels of success. Simply put, Cloud Summit is the must-attend event of the year for anyone who wants to build, buy or sell cloud and digital technology.

What are the conference dates?

March 11 – 13, 2019.

What is included in the conference fee?

The conference fee includes all conference sessions, meals and networking events. Hotel room costs are separate and can be reserved during the registration process.

How do I register for a session?

Currently, seating cannot be reserved. All sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If we decide to allow preregistration for sessions, Cloud Summit organizers will reach out to all registered attendees.

What are the registration guidelines?

All registrations are subject to approval. Ingram Micro Cloud reserves the right to cancel any registration for any reason; any cancellation made by Ingram Micro Cloud will include a fee refund. No refunds will be made for travel, housing, or any other direct or indirect expenses.

What are the registration deadlines?

Register on or before December 21, 2018, to take advantage of the $699 early bird fee. The registration fee increases to $799 for all registrations completed between December 22, 2018, and January 31, 2019. Between February 1 – 15, 2019, the registration fee increases to $899. What is the registration cancellation and no-show policy?

Cancellations received on or before Thursday, February 14, 2019, will be fully refunded. Cancellations received after February 14, 2019, or no-shows will incur a $399 registration cancellation fee. Registrants with hotel accommodations who cancel after Thursday, February 14, 2019, may be subject to both registration and hotel cancellation fees. Hotel cancellation fees are equal to one night of charges for room and tax. Any applicable hotel cancellation charges will be billed by the hotel directly to the credit card you provide during the registration process.

Will there be a mobile app?

Yes. Cloud Summit has selected CrowdCompass as our mobile app partner for 2019. The mobile app will be released prior to Cloud Summit. You will receive an email when it’s available to download.

Is there a dress code?

We recommend business casual during general session and the breakouts. Casual attire is appropriate for the evening events.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

You will have an opportunity to indicate any special dietary restrictions or allergies during the registration process. When you’re at the event, please inform your server of your specific dietary restriction and you will be accommodated.

What if I can’t locate my registration confirmation email?

Please contact Cloud Summit registration to have your confirmation email resent. CloudSummit@bcdme.com

When should I plan to arrive and depart?

We recommend attendees arrive on Monday, March 11, 2019. The main departure date is Thursday, March 14, 2019. If you are attending meetings outside of the regular conference dates, please adjust your travel accordingly.

When will I receive my registration confirmation email?

After you submit your registration request, you will receive an immediate, automatic email confirming your submission.

Note: You will not receive an individual hotel confirmation number (if booked). Your registration confirmation will serve as your hotel confirmation and final hotel confirmation will be emailed to all approximately 10 days prior to Cloud Summit.

What is the cost to attend?

What is the room rate for Cloud Summit?

For everyone who stays on-site at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, the sleeping room rate is $289 per night, plus applicable taxes. If you stay at one of our nearby Cloud Summit partner hotels, the room rates will be in a similar price range.

Does Ingram Micro Cloud cover the cost of my hotel room?

No. For 2019, all attendees will be responsible for the cost of their own hotel reservations. While we are having all registered attendees pay for their own sleeping rooms, we are still providing customer service to help reserve the rooms at our negotiated rates. You will have the option to reserve your sleeping room during the registration process.

Note: Your only opportunity to secure a room at our negotiated rates will be during the registration process. If you have questions, please reach out to CloudSummit@bcdme.com.

How do I book my room?

Room reservations should be made during the online registration process for Cloud Summit. Please do not contact the hotel directly.

Can I extend my stay or request an additional/single room?

Either type of request can be made during the online registration process. Requests are honored based on hotel availability. Once the hotel confirms your additional nights or room, you’ll receive an updated registration confirmation via email from CloudSummit@bcdme.com.

NOTE: Special requests are based on hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed. To guarantee your hotel request, you’ll be required to enter valid credit card information during your online registration process. The card will not be charged until checkout.

What is the hotel cancellation policy?

To avoid paying room and tax charges for one night, cancellations must be communicated to Cloud Summit Registration by Thursday, February 14, 2019, by emailing CloudSummit@bcdme.com.

When is the room reservation block cutoff date?

The Cloud Summit room cutoff date is Thursday, February 14, 2019. Ingram Micro Cloud cannot guarantee any rooms past this date. All rooms within the room block are on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

What else do I need to know about the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel?

The normal check-in time is 4:00 PM. If you arrive before 4:00 PM, you are welcome to check with the front desk. If they have rooms prepared, they may be able to check you in early. If not, you are welcome to leave your luggage at the bell desk and enjoy the restaurants and shops until your room is ready.

Checkout time is 11:00 AM. You can speak with the front desk regarding a late checkout. Availability is based upon occupancy. If a late checkout cannot be arranged, you are welcome to leave your luggage at the bell desk and enjoy the restaurants and shopping areas until your departure time.

The Hilton San Diego Bayfront is a completely non-smoking facility. Additionally, the hotel does allow pets with restrictions and extra fees. There is wired and wireless high-speed internet access in guest rooms as well as public and meeting spaces.

What is the weather like in San Diego in March?

In most years, San Diego averages a daily maximum temperature in March that's between 64 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit (18 to 20 degrees °C). The minimum temperature usually falls between 52 and 55 °F (11 to 13 °C).

Does Ingram Micro Cloud cover the cost of my travel?

Attendees are responsible for arranging their own air and ground transportation to Cloud Summit. If you are traveling from outside of the U.S. and require a visa, please contact your local government agency to ensure you have the necessary documents.

Is there a fee to park?

Valet parking: $50 daily fee, inclusive of tax. The adjacent parking garage carries a daily cost of $35 inclusive of tax. Attendees are responsible for parking fees. Parking will not be validated.

Why is my hotel room no longer prepaid along with my registration?

To meet the ever-changing travel needs of attendees, Ingram Micro is no longer including the cost of hotel rooms with Cloud Summit registration. While you’ll now choose and pay for your own hotel room, we’ll continue to offer and reserve the lowest available negotiated rates at our venue and partner hotels. You can also look forward to even better welcome and final night receptions, double the number of Cloud Showcase hours and flexible extended stay options if you want to see more of San Diego.

What is the cost to attend?

Register on or before February 14, 2019, and the registration fee will be $2,499. Please note that if you’re using a discount code, you will still incur a $1 guarantee of attendance fee. You can register here.
