The SaaStr Pitch Competition: Empowering Startups for Channel Success

Our goal is to enable these ISV entrepreneurs to commercialize their emerging technologies. So, in a world where tech innovation is moving at an unprecedented pace, supporting up-and-coming tech startups becomes a huge priority.

Enabling success for tech startups

In 2018, Ingram Micro partnered with Mass Challenge to launch the Comet Competition—the first-ever startup challenge dedicated to helping B2B ISVs purpose-build for the IT channel and find commercial success for their technologies.

Now Ingram Micro has partnered with SaaStr, the world’s largest community for business software, to launch the SaaStr Pitch Competition—a startup challenge designed to commercialize startups for channel success. 

This inaugural competition gives startup founders and CEO attending SaaStr Europa from June 12-13 the opportunity to submit their pitch for a chance to win part of a $100,000 prize. The competition is open to B2B tech startups with less than $10 million in funding.

Preferred areas of focus are cybersecurity, infrastructure, middleware, IoT and other types of software as a service (SaaS)—but any B2B startup can apply. Applications are open to all global startups, but entrants must be a verified SaaStr Europa ticket holder to be considered.

Five startups will be selected to do a five-minute pitch in front of an expert panel of SaaS executives and investors. The winning categories are Best Strategy + Vision, Most Likely to Be a Unicorn and Best Team.

Focusing on ISVs and our ecosystem

By working with Ingram Micro Cloud and joining our Cloud Marketplace, ISVs can reach more than 48,000 Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Value Added Resellers (VARs), telcos, hosters, systems integrators and enterprise-level resellers in 48 global markets.

Joining the Ingram Micro ecosystem offers a diversified revenue stream that enables repeatable, scalable and profitable growth in bookings through multi-tier distribution. Once onboarded to Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, ISVs can quickly promote, sell and deploy their solutions.

With the newly launched Ingram Micro Connect, it’s easier than ever to join the world’s largest channel ecosystem. With this module, ISVs can easily define their product offering, request a listing on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace and manage or automate fulfillment requests.

And with the new Sales & Marketing Hub, ISVs can create sales playbooks and marketing campaigns that resellers can use to learn about and promote new products. These assets are free for resellers, empowering them to gain new customers for ISVs around the globe.
