Cloud-based file sharing has now become one of the fastest growing markets in the technology sector and continues to gain traction and approval from organizations both big and small. In light of this increasing demand, Ingram Micro is pleased to announce it has expanded its distribution agreement with Dropbox, a leading provider of file sharing and collaboration services.
Initially available in the U.S. and Canada, the expanded agreement extends the reach of Dropbox Business to channel partners across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans to extend the offering into additional markets soon. Through this agreement, Ingram Micro now serves as the premier distributor of Dropbox in several European nations, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
In addition, to further serve the expanding business needs of this growing partner presence, Ingram Micro has extended the reach of Dropbox to the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace in the U.S., Canada, Netherlands, Australia, and U.K, with more Cloud Marketplace availability planned this month.
Built on a highly scalable infrastructure, Dropbox offers file sharing and collaboration across multiple devices, as well as integration into hundreds of existing third-party solutions. Coming soon, channel partners will have the ability to attach Dropbox to Microsoft Office 365 via Ingram Micro’s productivity suite and deliver a complete offering that enhances communication across key vertical markets.
Through this technical collaboration, Dropbox can also leverage Ingram Micro’s technology, software expertise, and professional services to easily integrate with all channel partners on the Odin Service Automation platform, including telcos and hosters.
“We’re excited at the ease with which all channel segments, such as MSPs, SIs, VARs, resellers, telcos, and hosters can now access our services through Ingram Micro. By working together, we can help channel partners deliver an affordable offering that allows companies to speed up collaboration and increase productivity,” said Hank Humphreys, Channel Chief at Dropbox.
With more than 400 million users and 150,000 paying businesses, Dropbox provides a simple and powerful collaboration platform used worldwide.
