It was amazing to see Cloud Summit: The Digital Sessions virtually bring together more than 4,800 attendees from over 97 countries during the five-day event. I’d like to thank everyone who tuned in to watch a total of more than 280,000 minutes of valuable content from our speakers. I hope you found the insight, strategies and tools to help you grow your business in these challenging times.

Each session was designed to provide information to help you move your business forward and make the most of the massive opportunities in the fast-changing world of technology. Based on the feedback I received, I’d like to share some some of the highlights.
Achieving cloud greatness with more
Nimesh Davé, president of Ingram Micro Cloud and CloudBlue, opened The Digital Sessions with his keynote on how Ingram Micro Cloud delivers More as a Service—more technology, more capabilities and more investments in cloud. He discussed why our ever-expanding ecosystem is being built for you—our partners—to empower you to do more with more, grow your business, see more profit and achieve more together.

How? By continually creating new partnerships and adding more innovative solutions for you to sell on Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace. Nimesh also announced that Ingram Micro Cloud recently partnered with Salesforce to add Salesforce Essentials to our North American cloud portfolio. It serves as just one more example of our unwavering dedication to your success.
On the last day of the event, Nimesh and Meredith Schmidt, EVP and CEO of Essentials & SMB at Salesforce, discussed a number of ways that small businesses can better navigate the current environment to generate more revenue.
Finding your way through unchartered territory
From Microsoft, the general manager of Managed Services Partners Mark Rice covered some of the industry’s most in-demand solutions and discussed how they can help your business by supporting your customers through a three-step approach: Respond, Recover and Reimagine.

In his keynote, VP of CloudBlue Tarik Faouzi presented the latest market trends and insight partners can use to realize even greater success. He outlined several strategies to build and grow your business during an economic downturn, such as using the right level of agility to future-proof your business.
Greg Onoprijenko, director of cloud for Ingram Micro Canada, shared an in-depth framework on how you can start and build a profitable cloud business. He also identified eight areas of competency partners will need to master if they’re going to seize—and maximize—this massive opportunity.
And in my keynote, I talked about how the role of companies is shifting from unidirectional to multidirectional. As a result, partners are developing more innovative IP, and our role at Ingram Micro Cloud is to connect problem solvers with innovators in a way that reduces costs and adds more value.
More tips to maximize your results
Our breakout sessions took a closer look at some of the platforms and tools our partners are using to increase their revenue. This included Rahul Bhavsar, the director of Global Cloud Marketplace for Ingram Micro Cloud, who shared details about Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, including how to start and grow a business with the platform by following the Cloud Awesomeness Roadmap. Plus, Ingram Micro Cloud’s John Wrona and PCI’s Bill Schriever walked attendees through a nine-step model for building a successful IaaS business.
In a Microsoft session, Neha Vashkrar and David Bjurman-Birr discussed how enabling secure remote work starts with protecting identity and providing secure access, focusing on three ways Microsoft 365 Business Premium delivers exactly that. And in a Google session, Celina Souffrant shared how G Suite delivers much more than email to meet your customer’s needs, including enterprise grade video, meetings, cloud search, apps built for the cloud and more.
Additionally, CloudBlue’s sessions presented approaches and tools that accelerate business growth. Lincoln Lincoln, head of sales for CloudBlue, discussed seven proven strategies for prospering in a downturn and a detailed explanation of each one. In another session, Yvette Ross and Alyssa Lahham teamed up to provide guidance for using data insights and implementing digital marketing tactics to elevate business outcomes in today’s environment.
