Visit Ingram Micro Cloud at AWS re:Invent 2017 in Las Vegas

This week, Ingram Micro is going to be exhibiting at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas. It will be a week of groundbreaking announcements, learning paths and a chance to reconnect with friends and colleagues. If you’re going to be in Las Vegas this week, come see us at booth #K21 in the re:Invent Expo Hall at the Venetian. We’ll be showcasing some of the cloud infrastructure solutions that we’ve launched this year, and we’ll have customers and partners with us at our booth to talk about our key collaborations and the successful projects that have been impactful to their businesses. We’ll also have fun booth drawings for prizes like Samsung DeX Stations and Amazon gift cards.

Here are some of the highlights this week:

Amazon WorkSpaces on Samsung DeX

In October, we announced our collaboration with AWS and Samsung Electronics to deliver virtual Windows desktops to Samsung mobile prosumers like freelancers, students and entrepreneurs. In order to simplify and accelerate set up for these customers, Ingram Micro created an automated Amazon WorkSpaces account sign up and configuration wizard.

We’ve also created a mobile app available in the Galaxy Apps Store and Google Play for Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ and Galaxy Note8 users to be able to access a 30 day free Amazon WorkSpaces trial. At re:Invent this week, we’ll be showing all of our demos in the booth from virtual Windows on a Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone running Amazon WorkSpaces. Our partners Red Night Consulting and Afinety will also be in our booth to speak about some of our joint projects to implement Amazon WorkSpaces for our customers.

Ingram Micro Cloud Orchestrator

Ingram Micro Cloud Orchestrator (IMCO) was launched earlier this year after it was unveiled at Ingram Micro’s Cloud Summit 2017 event in April. IMCO automates and orchestrates the deployment and management of workloads to any cloud environment – whether you have on-premises cloud infrastructure, use one or more public cloud providers or have combined private and public cloud for a hybrid cloud environment. We’ll be showing how IMCO can deploy new workloads to AWS cloud within a few minutes with a library of preconfigured templates.

Cadence Design Systems

An Ingram Micro customer, Cadence Design Systems will be showing their Hosted Design Solutions (HDS), which are production-grade design environments “as a service”. They will discuss how their relationship with Ingram Micro and their service provider partner Kaizen has helped them to streamline their cloud infrastructure usage and helped them to deliver better business results.

We are also featuring a booth promotion this week for attendees: When you come to our booth, pick up some Ingram Micro #CloudForward pins and stickers and tweet a photo with the #CloudForward hashtag to be in the running for one of our hourly prize drawings. We’re really excited about exhibiting at re:Invent this year and we’re looking forward to seeing you there.
