Today we have launched a new release of the Ingram Micro Cloud’s flagship platform, Odin Automation (OA) Premium, the hyperscale digital commerce platform that provides significant enhancements for the world’s leading service providers.
The digital era increasingly brings complex and radical challenges requiring platforms, ecosystems and processes that can support exponential growth and scale. At Ingram Micro Cloud, we are committed to delivering continuous innovative solutions that help our customers and partners capitalize on new opportunities in the digital economy.
With the OA Premium 7.2 release, service providers can amplify their business growth with scalability and high performance, easily extend their digital platforms and ecosystems with new APIs, and ensure advanced fraud detection.
As you remember, we launched the next generation of OA Premium (7.1 release) in April 2017 at our annual Cloud Summit event, and shared our vision to empower customers to thrive in the digital economy with speed and scale. OA Premium 7.2 continues to deliver this promise with the following key advancements:
New Public BSS APIs to Accelerate Digital Transformation
OA Premium 7.2 provides new public Business Support System (BSS) Application Program Interfaces (APIs) allowing service providers to easily integrate with external systems and extend their digital platforms and ecosystems.
Using the new APIs, service providers can easily manage set prices and synchronize it with external product catalog on their ERP or other systems. The APIs also allows them to conduct mass pricing updates with one single request, dramatically saving configuration time and reducing human errors.
Enhanced Performance and Scalability for Hyperscale Digital Commerce
The new release provides significant increases in performance and scalability for digital and cloud commerce that support large numbers of users and high volume of orders daily.
The performance and scalability has been increased especially for customers with more than 25,000 users per account. With the 7.2 release, daily billing and monthly billing performance has been increased by 2-4 times to enable more transactions to be processed faster than the previous release. Orders using the provider control panel have been optimized to work 5 times faster, boosting the business scale for customers with a large amount of orders to be released in one day.
More Secure Digital Commerce with New Fraud Screening SDK
With OA Premium 7.2, service providers now have more options to automatically validate the information provided by customers when they place orders to prevent fraudulent activity or to impose restrictions of their choice. The new Fraud Screening Software Development Kit (SDK) allows providers to develop and deploy their own fraud screening, blacklisting, as well as validation and eligibility screening plug-ins.
Additional capabilities include:
- Enhanced hosting services capabilities – OA Premium 7.2 brings a wide range of enhanced capabilities including Hosting Exchange 2016 support and other enhancements for OACI, Webhosting Linux and Webhosting Plesk.
- Data exchange with external systems for order flow – OA Premium 7.2 supports the ability to exchange data with third-party systems during order flow, which will benefit providers in scenarios such as integration with a third-party information hub or integration with a third-party billing system.
- Hypervisor-agnostic support – Starting with the 7.2 release, OA Premium platform can be deployed on top of any hypervisor-based virtualization solution.
